Automated Systems of Tacoma, LLC (“AST” or “we”) provides this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) to explain our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal information that we gather from individuals accessing AST’s website as well as via e-mail and other electronic messages between individuals and AST recipients. Please read this document carefully. We reserve the right to change it at any time. If you do not agree to the collection of data as set forth in this Privacy Statement, you will not be able to use AST’s website or exchange electronic messages with its employees.
What Information We May Collect
“Personal Information” means information that may be used to readily identify, contact, or locate a specific person, such as: name, address, email address, phone number, membership in a professional organization, or payment information. Personal Information does not include information that has been anonymized or aggregated so that it does not allow for identification of a specific individual. We collect Personal Information from individuals who volunteer their information to us to enable us to contact them regarding our products and services.

But doing so may adversely affect our ability to provide our website to you as it was designed because our website was designed to operate using cookies.

AST does not currently disclose any Personal Information to third parties for direct marketing purposes.
European Union Privacy. If our processing of your information is subject to the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”), we may have obligations to you and you have additional rights under the GDPR.
We will process your personal data in order to provide our website to you. The lawful bases under GDPR for processing your data may include:

If your information is transferred to us or to another recipient in a manner that requires your information to leave the boundaries of the European Economic Area (“EEA”), we will ensure that at least one of the following shall apply: (i) the transfers will be to countries that have been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data by the European Commission; (ii) we have used specific model contracts approved by the European Commission which are intended to give personal data the same protection it has in Europe; (iii) where we use providers based in the US, we may transfer information to them if they are part of the Privacy Shield which requires them to provide similar protection to personal data shared between the Europe and the US; or (iv) any alternative transfer mechanism that can under GDPR lawfully support the transfer. Children’s Privacy
Our website is intended for professional use, and we therefore do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use Personal Information from children under 16 years of age without parental consent, and no part of the website is directed to children under the age of 16. If you learn that a child has provided us with Personal Information without parental consent, you may alert us at privacy@ast-inc.com. If we learn that we have collected any Personal Information from children under 16 years of age without parental consent, we will promptly take steps to delete such information and terminate the child’s account.
Governing Law & Location of Adjudication
By choosing to use our website or otherwise provide information to us, you agree that any dispute over privacy or the terms contained in this Policy will be governed by the law of the United States and the state of Washington and the adjudication of any disputes arising in connection our website or your Personal Information, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (unless the parties unanimously consent to another forum), must occur in a federal or state court in the State of Washington.
Data Retention
Except where otherwise required by law, we will retain your information for as long as needed to provide you with our services as you have requested, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
