AST to introduce its fully automatic isolated GENiSYS C in addition to new glove testing and digital twin solutions during the premier global pharmaceutical event at Javits Center, NYC.

AST’s exhibit at INTERPHEX 2025 represents a comprehensive, forward-looking aseptic processing product and service advancement. The fully automatic GENiSYS C is a fourth-generation fill-finish system designed to meet and exceed regulations, including the latest Annex 1. The automated, multi-format filling and closing system is designed to process commercial and custom nested vials, syringes, and cartridges on a compact, no-touch production line. The system exhibited at INTERPHEX will be placed with Ascend Advanced Therapies, a specialist adeno-associated virus (AAV) development partner, at their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Alachua, Florida.

The isolated GENiSYS C at INTERPHEX 2025 will include AST’s Atmos™ isolator technology, featuring best-in-class functionality and efficacy, as part of an end-to-end turnkey solution offered from AST and backed by a localized model of supply and service. Alongside the advanced fill-finish system, AST will be offering demonstrations of their new glove testing system, Shield™ GIT, and their new digital twin solution.

“We’re thrilled to once again be showcasing our latest innovations at INTERPHEX 2025,” commented AST President and CEO Joe Hoff. “The industry continues to innovate towards advanced, integrated technologies that improve quality, processing, and time to patient for advanced therapeutics. The latest isolated GENiSYS C featured alongside our new wireless glove testing system and digital twin solution is clear progress towards that goal. These offerings further demonstrate AST’s commitment to being a full-service provider of American-made turnkey solutions for drug manufacturing.”

Additionally, AST will be commencing its 60th anniversary year with a Diamond Celebration featuring giveaways and special events throughout the week of INTERPHEX.

Innovation Highlights

Digital Twin:

AST’s digital twin solution is rooted in the innovative cross-section of the physical, digital, and data spaces provided by digital twin technology, and offers exciting applications for the production of liquid pharmaceuticals at every stage of drug development. AST’s in-booth demonstration will include:

  • Predictive operations – Physical system mirroring of the isolated GENiSYS C will be featured, demonstrating use cases in real-time system monitoring with “Run Ahead” predictive capabilities for process and motion verification.
  • Recipe verifications – The digital twin tool will simulate operations with various recipes, and demonstrate error identification and detect where an adverse event may occur.
  • Performance simulation – Featuring a range of accurate production scenarios using various recipe and runtime settings, performance simulations will be executed at computational speed and relay key production metrics to the user.

Shield Glove Integrity Testing System

The AST Shield™ GITis an advanced, fully integrated wireless glove testing system prioritizing operator safety, product integrity and regulatory excellence. As part of an active contamination control strategy, this glove testing system provides operators with the tools necessary to validate quickly and maintain complete records, data, and peace of mind over the life of your gloves.

Shield is designed to be fully integrated with isolator technology as a turnkey solution, and is manufactured and tested at AST’s Tacoma, Washington facility. The four glove testing units are supported by a comprehensive operating system, Shield OS, which is included on a mobile docking center and provides End Users wireless charging capability, automatic recipe loading via RFID chip technology, and fully integrated test and batch recording. Shield GIT is a breakthrough solution for testing efficacy, data integrity, and integration. A single exhibit testing unit will be available in-booth demonstrating glove testing functionality.

INTERPHEX 2025 attendees will have the chance to experience AST’s latest innovations in person at Booth 3643.
