TACOMA Wash., March 26, 2025 —AST, a leading provider of flexible aseptic filling systems and drug manufacturing solutions, is pleased to announce the addition of Jason Rossi as Principal Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation Engineer. Jason will oversee site coordination, installation, and qualification of AST solutions, working in collaboration with AST customers onsite to ensure successful implementation of their equipment.

Jason brings over 29 years of experience in various roles throughout the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, including aseptic fill-finish and sterile product manufacturing. His experience includes project management, GMP facility and equipment design and installation, technology transfer, targeted drug manufacturing, and extensive onsite CQV leadership. Jason has been at the forefront of drug development, playing pivotal roles in bringing innovative new products to market, including first-generation gene-based hemophilia therapeutics.

His career encompasses a comprehensive range of critical aseptic operations, manufacturing, and drug product lifecycle management. He has held pivotal operational and leadership roles at top-tier pharmaceutical companies, including serving as Fill-Finish Manager at Pfizer, Head of Microbial Contamination Control at Lonza, and, most recently, Global Assistant Director of Engineering at Catalent, where he led Cell and Gene Therapy development initiatives.

Reflecting on his new role at AST, Jason said, “I’m excited to be joining the extraordinary team at AST. I have the unique experience of previously being a customer and end user of AST’s products, and I’ve found myself continuously impressed by the equipment, ownership, and, ultimately, the customer service provided.  I’ve worked with many different fill-finish equipment providers throughout my career, and, in my experience, AST has consistently gone above and beyond the call. I know first-hand the quality of these solutions, and I look forward to working with our customers to ensure our equipment is installed successfully and performing at an optimal level.”

As part of the Technology and Product team, Jason will spearhead efforts to ensure that AST’s products, systems, and processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. He’ll lead AST’s onsite teams in implementing cGMP strategies in line with the latest regulations, technological advancements, and best practices for documentation, risk and quality management, and validation.

Steven Ng, AST’s CTO and Vice President of Customer Service, commented, “I’ve been fortunate to know Jason for several years, and his experience and acumen speak volumes to what he brings to our team. The pharmaceutical industry is at a pivotal point, with an increased emphasis on higher standards of product quality and the advanced technologies that make those standards a reality. Drug manufacturers are looking for solutions that will set their operations up for success well into the future. As AST continues to expand its product and service offerings, Jason’s leadership and expertise will be a valuable addition. His background in advanced drug manufacturing, contamination control strategy, and regulatory requirements will be a key asset to our customers as they look to navigate the drug development journey.”

AST President and CEO Joe Hoff welcomed Jason, saying, “At AST, it is our people that ultimately sets us apart, and Jason is exactly the type of exceptional person we seek to have on our team in terms of his industry-leading experience and customer-centric attitude. With Jason’s addition, AST continues to strengthen our commitment to our vision to be one of our customers’ most trusted partners for drug product manufacturing.
